It was really hard for me to decide whether I should leave a 4 star review or a 5 star review on this.
Overall the belt is a great belt but the black coating seems like it would come off very easily and well I think that would look great over time (look at well worn redwing blacksmiths) it wasn't quite the look I was going for. The belt was also wider than I was expecting which isn't necessarily a bad thing but once again it wasn't quite what I was looking for.
The cherry on top was when I went to return it I ran into issues because the day before I received it the website got a massive overhaul.
By this point you are probably wondering why I give this 5 stars?
Well for starters this was still a great belt, it just wasn't quite what I was expecting it to be and since the website overhaul you do get better pictures of it and more information which does help.
In addition to that, the customer service was great. I was able to get everything handled within an hour of me reaching out to them and well I do think there was a fair amount of luck involved in the speed, it was still the best experience I had with customer service to date.
Some advice for anyone interested in buying the belt, use the waist size of your pants, not your normal belt size. I use size 32 pants and the 32 belt was perfect.
Also the width (not the thickness of the leather) was 1 ¾ inches which filled out the belt loops nicely. Unfortunately I am someone who prefers belts that are 1 ½ inches wide.
Overall it was a great belt and customer service was a lot of help which is why despite the fact I returned it and ran into the issues I did, I am giving it 5 stars.
